Given that it was erections that got the Catholic Church in trouble in the first place, you can see the irony that a resurrection is quite possibly the only thing that could possibly help turn their image around. You have to wonder though, given all the....shenanigans...that went on whether the Pope would want Jesus to come back. You know when you turn up late for work how angry the boss is...well imagine how pissed off your boss would be  if you covered up child abuse now imagine your boss is Jesus with all the magic powers that Jesus has...would you want to have to explain it to him? Jesus would be very cross.....yes, cross, blasphemy much?

Things have gotten very, very bad for the Catholic Church in recent months. They’ve no one to blame but themselves but you know things have gotten bad when your friends start to turn on you. Ok, so maybe the Catholic Church and the Church of England aren’t exactly “friends” but they’re very similar. When the head of the Church of England accuses the Catholic Church of losing all credibility it has got to cut deep. Especially considering that the head of the Church of England looks a bit like Ali G’s father. Given the fact that the Church of England is basically an offshoot of the Catholic Church it’s like being ratted out by your little brother. . . .or beaten up by your little brother...not that that’s ever happened to me.

The Vatican Public Relations Manual

The interesting thing is that as the Catholic Church has tried to limit the damage it has caused to its public image it has only served to alienate more people. The Popes own private preacher compared people pointing out the fact that the Catholic Church has been complicit in the covering up of child abuse is the same as people hating Jewish people because they’re Jewish. It’s not exactly a fair comparison at the end of the day now is it?
